very good emotions and really wonderful character art, but i hate hate gilbert focus so zzz who cares, i liked that it in the series it was unresolved, and honestly would have preferred in this movie if it ended with them not meeting, and doing the difficult emotional work of actually getting over things. but yeah idk the whole "chase down my one true partner arc" is totally not my thing (esp when its woman chasing man like she needs him for fulfilment). just frustrating bc it changes the whole meaning of the story from someone discovering and dealing with what emotions are like and how deal with that (really interesting!) to romance seeker (really not interesting!) makes me want to rank down original series too which idk if is fair lol
