***unmatched ost.*** . massive case of the "born sexy yesterdays" and its super cringe. chii has great character design but yikes that story. i hate hetero-amatonormative metaphysical teleology! goes without saying hideki is shit, but the rest of the cast isn't good either. shinbo and shimizu romance is just odd lol - not for any moral objections but just incredibly lazy storytelling. "oh yeah they just fucked off until they become convenient". honestly probably made for a tighter story so I guess that's one way to deal with a bloated cast you don't plan to use. minoru was fine. sumomo was actually pretty enjoyable even though i don't normally like those type of characters. i actually liked hibiya as a character and thought it was cool twist, it's just unfortunate that the whole final mystery unraveling was so awful. every romantic interaction is unsalvageabley bad
