overview
Natsuo is a high school boy who is experiencing the crushing despair of unrequited love. To make matters worse, the person he is in love with is his teacher, Hina. In an attempt to lift his spirits, he attends a mixer where he meets a girl named Rui. The two sleep together, expecting never to see one another again, but fate has other plans. His life suddenly becomes more complicated when his father comes home and announces he has remarried a woman with two daughters whom Natsuo has met before: Hina and Rui!reviews
TL;DR: this show is bad but rui is good
my watch along notes: 10/10 best bait to get me triggered. i actually had such high hopes for the show. the setup is absolutely unhinged so it can do all the heavy lifting and the first episode was like yo! they could actually be deep characters and it wouldn't feel forced or no drama but. wtf did they do. why. wtf. natsuo is a rapist wtf. also wtf its ep3 and they just ruined rui by making her a moralist wtf. i don't care about "cheating" dude wtf is wrong with you. but its not like i can take hina's side bc shes doing this weird "you wouldnt understand youre not an adult stupid shit. ._. banger op btw. kys kys kys stop moralfagging. whoooooo cares. i hate monogamy i hate monogamy i hate monogamy. bro if i was trying to hook up with someone and they saw my cutting scars and then left to go make food i'd be annoyed lol. like she was up front the whole time about everything, and then he just psychoanalyzed her and did some random shit and the plot says thats cool. wtf i hate you. now a character that was "wow look at society's unfair standards for female sexuality" into "aw its true, sluts are that way becuase they're broken inside and need someone to save them :(". fuck you. alright now that we're back to main love triangle its a bit better but still dumb. it's pretty clear the show is operating under this monogamy all or nothing thing and choosing between hina and rui and its just super zz when explicit and even more insidious when its implicit (like rui not getting much screen time after hina and natsuo start going out). btw i actually think rui is pretty justified in being upset at natsuo for lying. tbh respect for actually having a sex scene like that in an anime. i love rui so much that was a good end. the hair change isn't cannon tho idc what you say. overall some really high highs between the barrage of low points
