yes, Sylvester Stallone has perfect comic timing. yes, this has the most impressive cast you can imagine. yes, I quote it almost constantly. 'Snaps' Provolone trying to go straight in a three room three bag farce is probably my favourite movie.
A love song to classic Hollywood: the movies, the actors, the foibles of the studio system. the movie scenes are like cameos, every performance just sparkles and both the religious leaders and the tongue twister/mirthless chuckle have me in stiches every time.
this felt very like an MCU movie; superhero characters interacting with the 'real' world, a complex mythos the film treats with respect while joking around a lot, lots of action. nice alternative to all the usual Hallmark movies.
Less of a spy thriller and more action, which is a shame, albeit the action delivers. Getting John Woo to direct and also do multiple little Face/Off scenes also very fun.
I accidentally reviewed Mission: Impossible, the TV show, last night. Sorry for using this review to ask about features, but is there no way to edit or delete a review? I expected there to be a record in my PDS which I could delete if all else fails, but reviews are not stored in the PDS? The site is really neat, those nitpicks aside. :)
